Common questions
- Is WoolawayWx in the App Store or Play Store?
- No. WoolawayWx is a progressive web app (PWA): you install it from your browser to your Home Screen. It opens like an app but stays tied to woolawaywx.com — there is no separate store download.
- Why do alerts only work from the Home Screen icon?
- Mobile push for weather alerts requires the installed PWA shell. A normal Safari or Chrome tab cannot subscribe on many devices, especially iPhone. Install first, then open WoolawayWx from your Home Screen and visit Alerts.
- Can I use the full website without installing?
- Yes. Forecasts, blog, agriculture tools, and most map pages work in any modern browser. Install is recommended for mobile alerts and the simplified bottom-navigation layout on phones.
- How do I change cookie or analytics settings?
- Use the cookie control on the site (usually a button in the corner) to accept, decline, or customize optional Google Analytics. Declining analytics does not block location, forecasts, or push alerts.
